Established in 1992, Summerbridge Hong Kong is a non-profit organization, which aims to improve the educational trajectories of underprivileged students by providing them with tuition-free quality English language education and life skills development opportunities. For our student teachers, it aims to foster cross-cultural exchange and a sense of civic duty.
- A message to the Summerbridge Hong Kong community: -
We are very sad to inform everyone that because of the novel coronavirus situation, the Summerbridge Hong Kong 2020 Summer Program has been cancelled.
The safety and well-being of our students and teachers is and always will be our first priority, and we felt it be a risk have to have our Summerbridge students and teachers come together this summer. We also know that the coronavirus will continue to have huge impact on everyone in the coming months, whether through school suspensions or work arrangements, and many students and teachers would not be able to come to Summerbridge this summer. For these reasons, and many more, we decided to cancel this year's Summer Program. We know this news is disappointing, and we feel devastated as well.
Summerbridge remains committed to serving its students - our new students from 2019 will have the chance to come back for their second summer in 2021. We will also do our best provide an exciting School Year Program beginning in October 2020.
We are incredibly appreciative of the words of support we've received from the wider Summerbridge community, and we wish everyone good health during these challenging times. If you do have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.
