Who Can Apply?

    Students who are:

    1. Between the ages of 16 and 22, currently attending high school or university;

    2. Able to commit full-time to all program dates;

    3. Comfortable using English (non-native speakers welcome; Cantonese is not a requirement); and

    4. Eager to work with youth (no teaching experience required).

Application Deadline

The deadline to submit the 2018 Summer Program Student Teacher Application Form has passed.

2018 Summer Program Dates

Staff Introduction Day: June 16
Administrative Training: June 18 - June 20
Student Teacher Orientation: June 22 - July 3
Classes in Session: July 4 - August 5
Evaluation Week: August 6 - August 10

Time: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 6:00pm (including some Saturdays and public holidays)

Stipend & Subsidy

    HK $6,000 for High School / Secondary School Students

    HK $8,000 for University Students

    To cover basic food and travel expenses incurred while working at Summerbridge, student teachers are provided with a stipend. Housing accommodation and airfare allowance is provided to student teachers with previous Breakthrough or Summerbridge Summer Program experience.
